Beskar was formed in December 2008 by a Star Wars Galaxies veteran (blur), with the intent of being a Mandalorian-themed guild for Star Wars: The Old Republic (TOR) that wound the clock back to the days when guilds, and more importantly the people inside those guilds, mattered. A chance for people to step back to a time when your guild felt like an extension of your family, not a job.

Are you a chatty, forum-centric kind of person?

Why? Because that’s the kind of members we want. People who will share their thoughts about things, as well as comment on others. People we can get to know online as real people.

Are you interested in Mandalorian culture?

Why? Because even if you don’t seek to play one in TOR, there is still a strong Mandalorian theme within the guild and it makes sense to be interested in the culture you will be surrounded by.

Are you comfortable playing within the Empire faction in TOR?

Why? Because that’s what side we’re on. It’s no use joining us if your secret desire is for your main character to be a Jedi Knight, or something. Guilds are locked into one faction or the other.

Are you grown-up enough to be in a guild where everyone is simply regarded as a Member?

Why? Because our members are equal. By necessity, we do have a team of forum/game helpers (called Ori’vode), but their opinion/vote in the guild is no greater than any other member.

Are you serious about being active in our forum community?

Why? Because we’re extremely passionate about being a real community of good, genuine people. We feel this is something that so many MMO guilds have lost over the last five years in particular.

Do you believe that PvE, PvP and RP gamers can co-exist happily in one guild?

Why? Because we believe each of these play styles is cool and unique and shouldn’t be criticised. We’d also like to encourage people to try different play styles from time to time if they’re willing.

Are you at least 18 years old? But preferably older?

Why? Because that’s what our members want. A vote was taken on the matter and we’d like applicants to respect the wishes of the guild by being honest about this particular topic.
